About Royal Torarica

Royal Torarica is part of the Torarica Group and was established in 2007. It is the newest luxury hotel of the best and oldest hotel chain in Suriname. The building plans for the 4-star hotel were drawn by the American architect Lane Pettigrew, who started working on the project in 1995-1996. Construction commenced in 2006 when a large piece of land next to Torarica Resort & Casino became available.

Royal Torarica was carefully designed and styled with a remarkable eye for detail that reflects its Surinamese roots. Some of the hotel’s distinctive characteristics are the art pieces from famous Surinamese artists and the modern features to be discovered in each room. The hotel has a colonial appearance and is aimed at providing its guests with luxurious accommodations and services of the highest quality. The construction of the saltwater pool is a brilliant example of our environmentally-friendly policy.

The Finance Tower on Paramaribo’s Independence Square is one of the characteristic features of the city. It served as a guideline for our hotel tower’s design. Many important and famous guests regularly enjoy their stay in the exclusive presidential suite on the top floor of our hotel.
